在浩瀚的宇宙中，有一个人类、机器人、外星人共同生活的地方，叫“星星球”。某天，灰心星球的宇宙开发公司派出了两大王牌战士“大大怪将军”和“小小怪下士”并携带着拥有强大力量、赋予机器生命和智慧的终级武器——五色神奇宝石，想强行占领“星星球”，可是，当他们冲进大气层时发生了意外，除了黑色宝石外，红色、粉红色、绿色、蓝色宝石都散落到星星球。在星星球上有一位天才的机械师——宅博士，在维修垃圾电器时，四台旧机车刚好遇上了四颗宝石，在无意中激活了它们；从此，开心超人、甜心超人、花心超人和粗心超人诞生了。他们在宅博士的带领下，一次又一次地挫败了侵略者的阴谋，保护了“星星球”。
